What Every Employee Can Learn from Ulysses S. Grant - Work It Daily

What Every Employee Can Learn from Ulysses S. Award - Work It Daily Before 1958 leaders of these United States were not qualified for an annuity. President Grant was about dejected subsequent to leaving office. He subsequently consented to compose his journals. While he finished the parts on the Civil War or, as he called it, the resistance or the war for the protection of the Union, he kicked the bucket before he could expound on his administration. So coming up next are the exercises of General Grant. Award, in his journals, said that he learned two exercises throughout everyday life: first, that things are seen plainer after the occasions have happened; second that the most certain pundits are commonly the individuals who know the least about the issue reprimanded. Words of knowledge to remember when directing and assessing a representative. It is men who stand by to be chosen, and not the individuals who look for, from whom we generally anticipate the most effective assistance. Something to remember when assembling a group. The most noticeably terrible reason an officer can make for declining administration is that he once positioned the administrator he is requested to answer to. Something to remember when a previous supervisee turns into one's chief. Mishap frequently chooses the destiny of fight. Just another method of saying, the best laid plans… Something to remember while scanning for flawlessness. You need to acknowledge a job well done. Some composed that Sherman's Walk to the Sea was Grant's thought. In his diaries he expressed, the topic of who contrived the arrangement to walk from Atlanta to Savannah is effectively replied: it was unmistakably Sherman, and to him additionally has a place the credit of its splendid execution. Never assume praise for someone else's work. In remarking on a proposed maritime battle to take Fort Fisher, Grant restricted it yet said that as no genuine mischief could happen to the analysis, and the specialists at Washington appeared to be burning to have it attempted, I allowed it. Something to remember whenever a subordinate needs to accomplish something that you think won't work. Permitting disappointment is some of the time the correct game-plan. I felt like anything as opposed to celebrating at the destruction of an adversary who had battled for such a long time and valiantly, and had languished such a great amount over a reason, however that cause was, I accept, one of the most noticeably terrible for which a people at any point battled, and one for which there was the least reason. I don't address, be that as it may, the earnestness of the extraordinary mass of the individuals who were against us. Grant never permitted the soldiers under his order to commend the thrashing and give up of the South. Something to remember in the wake of beating an opponent at work. Furthermore, on Lincoln, Mr. Lincoln picked up impact over men by causing them to feel that it was a joy to serve him. He favored yielding his own desire to satisfy others, as opposed to demand having his own particular manner. It upset him to frustrate others. In issues of open obligation, be that as it may, he had what he wished, yet at all hostile way. Picture Credit: Shutterstock Have you joined our vocation development club?Join Us Today!

How to Create Your Defining Moment

How to Create Your Defining Moment The other day I was digging  through some old  pics for my job search training presentations when  I came across this oldie but goodie of my MBA graduation day 5 years ago. It brought back sooooooooo many memories and also a huge feeling of gratitude for getting through what was a really tough period in my life and making it to where I am today. This picture actually sums up a defining moment in my life: the one that ultimately started the inspiration that would lead me to what I do today, training people in how to conquer the job search. They say a picture is worth a thousand words but it feels like so much more when I think back to the day this was snapped. The Truth About That Day You see, I look really happy in this photo, right?  The reality was that deep down inside I was freaking out.  I wasnt happy at all. I was bubbling with emotion from the temporary excitement of achieving my degree but also the absolute fear of not having a job and waking up the next day to the realities of rent bills, looming student loans, a major dose of humility and months of discouragement ahead (unbeknownst to me at that time) The days and months that would follow my  joyous graduation day, were terrifying.  Its a horrible feeling to not have a job after you graduate, and if youve ever been there, I dont have to tell you twice. The Fruits of My Struggle Fast forward to today. I can look back and embrace this rough spell in my career and life because it truly taught me about what its like to be in the job search and what so many of my clients are going through aside from just the standard resume confusion. The job search is a huge emotional struggle. Its a time where my clients need a shoulder to lean on and a big dose of positive reinforcement and in being this for them, I truly find career fulfillment. In fact, I just started working with someone who has been in the search for 6 months. She reminds me of how I felt back then. Shes ambitious, bright, a total catch for any company yet she is struggling to make the traction or apply the right tactics.  She doesnt know what she doesnt know about the job search (which btw is consistent across the  majority of job seekers I encounter) Yesterday we had our first meeting and afterwards, she sent me this note that really took the wind out of me: Thanks so much Noelle! This helps a lot. I only wish we met earlier in my job search! This is what I do and this is why I get out of bed every morning in terms of professional fulfillment Does Any of This Resonate With You? This is what I want to do for you if you are feeling like you need some kind of support finding joy in your everyday. My mission is not about just being a career coach and the short-term strategy of landing a job.  Its about so much more. Its about finding your passion and fulfillment because I know what it feels like, to be otherwise. Over the next couple months, you might notice some changes on my website. Ive added a new page specifically for DIY career development courses that you can receive at a lower price (since not everyone can afford career coaching). Speaking of DIY career and job search you can also find a new page that Im populating with tools I love. Whenever I present to groups, Im always asked about my top picks for simplifying the job search so thats what I want to start creating with this page. Ive also bundled together a few new resume and coaching packages that address very specific needs at every stage of the career job search. Stay tuned as I continue to evolve in my goal to really get to the heart of what I hear so many of you asking for! Create Your Defining Moment Do you know your defining moment? More importantly, are you doing what you were born to do? Take a 10-minute mental break. Close your eyes and ask yourself: What am I passionate about and am I doing that every day? You could also start by learning about your lifes purpose here. If youre having trouble figuring out your path, you might want to consider a more in-depth type of assessment to figure this out. This is part of what my team offers btw. Dont waste any more time fumbling or worse yet, traveling further down a path that doesnt fulfill you. If you know exactly where you want to go but are having trouble getting there, make now your time to shine. Start to put the pieces in place so you can make today your defining moment and reach your goal sooner rather than later. We can help with that too.

Mistakes to Avoid in Negotiating Your New Job Offer

Errors to Avoid in Negotiating Your New Job Offer Very nearly 10 years prior, specialists Dr. Michelle Marks, George Mason University, and Dr. Precious stone M. Harold, Temple University, asked 149 recently recruited representatives whether they decided to arrange their beginning salaries*. They found that the individuals who arranged, expanded their beginning pay rates by a normal of $5,000. Odds are likely that their examination is similarly as pertinent today. We should discuss why you ought to arrange your next bid for employment and how to do it. What models would it be a good idea for you to use to assess a bid for employment? How might you decide if a proposition for employment is a decent one? The engaging quality of a proposition for employment is an exceptionally close to home thing dependent on the people's needs at that point. It is key that each activity searcher realize their necessities a long time before experiencing the meeting procedure and getting the offer. Expecting we are centered around the dollars in the bid for employment, separate the proposal before responding to it: Rundown the pay. Figure the reward if there is one. Secure the subtleties of the wellbeing inclusion. Re-read the set of working responsibilities to remind yourself about the activity obligations. Consider the delicate components like length of drive, new aptitudes you will learn, and the nature of the individuals you will work with. Research compensation data that is accessible on the web. Glassdoor.com's pay rates and remuneration segment and Payscale.com are top areas. Would it be a good idea for you to haggle with potential managers for better pay? Do you risk losing a proposition for employment on the off chance that you attempt? In 30 years arranging my own offers, I have never had an offer canceled because of an arrangement. Be that as it may, if an up-and-comer is inconsiderate, excessively requesting, or ill bred in any capacity, the organization can cancel the offer. In rundown, truly, I suggest everyone arrange. Keep in mind, In the event that you don't ask, you'll never know. What systems can you â€" an imminent worker â€" use to arrange a superior proposition for employment? Most significant is to start your arrangements appreciative for the offer, exceptionally conscious, and proficient, not passionate. Attempt to haggle with your employing chief instead of a selection representative or other mediator. The recruiting supervisor has the financial plan and is a definitive leader. Also, they as of now need you in their group, so they are spurred to guarantee you are fulfilled. Work your exchange out in a letter and email it preceding talking about it with the employing supervisor. That way you can plot your solicitation and avocation and they can advance it to other leaders. In the letter, keep it brief. Separate each solicitation you have, give an objective to an agreeable arrangement and give the support to the solicitation. Whatever realities you can give the better. For instance: Your Request: Your Rationale: Solicitation #1: Increase compensation by 8% My earlier pay was at this level. Solicitation #2: 5 more get-away days Pre-submitted family get-away What slip-ups do planned representatives frequently make when attempting to arrange compensation and advantages? Being impolite, ill bred, sounding entitled. Saying ,I did my examination, and this is underneath advertise. Being whiny or utilize elevated proclamations like, This isn't sufficient, or It's not what I anticipated. Saying, It's not as much as what I was gaining in my last employment, when the last occupation was not the equivalent, comparative, or had less obligations. Not all employments are the equivalent and it's anything but a prerequisite that the recruiting organization coordinate or surpass what you were procuring. On the off chance that stock is a piece of your all out pay, saying, Great, you can't ensure that the stock won't go up, or Stock doesn't take care of my tabs. This shows you are not in it for the long stretch and not mindful that your commitment can support the stock cost, as well. In the event that you are another college alum or don't have a lot of work understanding and need to order a superior remuneration bundle, here are my proposals. Be sensible! Since you don't have work understanding, the organization is facing a higher challenge. Also, you should be happy to begin at a suitable level and stir your way up. Request an early survey, as opposed to hanging tight for a yearly audit to exhibit your endeavors and their outcomes. In the event that you believe you would be acceptable in deals, at that point search for a business position with commission on a base pay. In that job, the upside can be colossal and legitimately connected to your capacity to close arrangements. Do your exploration on showcase pay rates in your city at your objective organizations. Go to Glassdoor.com or Payscale.com. Recall your greatest slip-up in remuneration arrangement isn't doing it. * Marks, M. also, Harold, C. (2011), Who asks and who gets in compensation arrangement. At that point Marc directed customer stories to Susan that she could fit into the old rendition to include profundity. The book was finished close to the finish of 2016, and Marc connected with notable writers to survey it for cites. With the new draft, Marc sent a Review PDF to 100 individuals, to for cites. He hopes to get 50 to 70 audits. He has five surveys up until this point. He additionally set up pre-requesting on Amazon Advantage. That prompted 30 preorders. [17:31] As with the principal book, Marc utilized CreateSpace and KDP to make and distribute the books. Amazon client care was stunning each time Marc required assistance. [18:30] Marc propelled the Kindle form on April 18, at $.99, to urge commentators to purchase the book, and be a checked Amazon buyer. On the subsequent day, 50 duplicates have been sold up until now, and it's turning out easily. On the off chance that you need audits, Marc says, you have to request that individuals survey it on Amazon. They for the most part won't think about that all alone. [19:20] Marc's blog permitted him to discover material that individuals needed to peruse, and the greater part of the book originated from his most-read blog entries. Marc credits Susan on the spread, and both Susan and MamiSerwaa on the Amazon posting. It costs nothing to give credit, and it makes dependability. A book is a believability developer, best in class. Three Reasons to Consider Return-to-Work Parents When Hiring

Three Reasons to Consider Return-to-Work Parents When Hiring In January 2020, Tiger Recruitment hosted a roundtable discussion with an intimate group of HR professionals to discuss the reintegration of parents into the workplace. Further to that discussion, we produced a report that highlights best practices, stigmas and the future of return-to-work (RTW) policies. It also details why attracting RTW parents should be an immediate priority for businesses. There has also never been a better time for your clients to do so. For example, according to ONS figures released in February 2020, women are increasingly returning to the workplace, with 150, 000 more women in full-time work between October-December 2019 than the previous quarter. The previous quarter saw a record-number 15.58 million women in the workplace, evidence of an upwards trend. While this is in part due to the retirement age for women being raised from 60 to 65, BBC reported the number “was also boosted by fewer women remaining economically inactive to care for children and other relatives”. The increased number means there are more women looking for a job that your clients can attract and harness their potential. While RTW policies will mostly affect women returning after maternity leave, we believe RTW policies should aim to attract all parents â€" below are three reasons why you should raise this issue with your clients when discussing their hiring strategy: Overcome the skills shortage The UK is currently experiencing its lowest unemployment rate since 1974, at 3.8%. The unemployment rate has been on the decline since September 2018, which has caused severe skills shortages in some businesses and sectors. As of April-June 2019, however, 24.9% of mothers and 7.4% of fathers with dependent children weren’t working in the UK. Recruiters and employers can aim to attract this segment of the population through better return-to-work (RTW) policies and practices. So, if your client hasn’t considered this segment of the population up ‘til now, it’s worth looking at alternative ways to attract them, such as improving flexibility and implementing other family-friendly benefits.   Improve diversity quotas Improved RTW policies could also impact diversity quotas for some companies. We’re seeing a stark lack of diversity in IT, engineering and construction. Tech giants in the US such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, and Facebook have published their diversity statistics since 2014, but have only increased their female workforce by a small percentage. While it’s not easy for women to enter these fields due to inherent biases, it may also be due to a lack of considerations for RTW mothers throughout the hiring process. For example, Facebook has only managed to increase its female workforce from 15% to 23% over a five-year period, while Apple and Microsoft’s female workforces increased by just 3%. If we encourage our clients to eliminate biases against RTW parents in the hiring process, they should, in turn, see their diversity numbers rise. Retain intellectual property The average age of first-time mums is 31 in the UK. That means that, if a woman starts her career in her early 20’s and leaves when she has her first child, the company will lose ten years of intellectual property per person. So, it’s imperative for a business to attract these women back into the workplace following their maternity leave. This is a particular problem for certain industries where the working hours aren’t flexible enough for mothers, such as the finance and banking sectors in the City. One of our roundtable attendees, when talking about her experience with mothers returning from leave, said she saw a half of them choosing not to return to the busy finance company because of the long hours. If your clients are open to offering flexible working to these returning employees, this may curb the number of women forced to leave their roles.

This Is What It Takes to Get Your Start-Up Off the Ground

This Is What It Takes to Get Your Start-Up Off the Ground Starting your own business â€" it’s a goal many have. In fact, more than half of Americans (66 percent to be exact) have dreams of being an entrepreneur. Unfortunately, many hold back due to financial security and commitment, as well as the fear of failure. All are valid reasons, but none of them reason enough to forego your entrepreneurial goals and settle into the traditional 9-to-5 career. If you are a young mind with big dreams, goals, and a work ethic to boot, these tips should help get your start-up off the ground. Start With Your Passion Do what you love. It seems like such a cliché statement, but according to Inc.com, “If you want to start doing what you love, pursuing your passion should be at the heart of that decision.” Why? Entrepreneurs who do so tend to be happier and more successful. To pinpoint your passion and find a feasible business venture, list your strengths. Perhaps you’ve never held a leadership role, but your communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are all key ingredients of a leader. Once you’ve made a list, determine how each strength or skill can work to your benefit. Focusing on a vision helps too. There is no cookie cutter mold for becoming an entrepreneur, so the mold is yours to create and change. Know Your Target Researching your target market might not seem like such a big deal, but according to research cited by Quick Sprout, 42 percent of startups fail because there wasn’t any market need. Determining your target market first means that if you discover the market isn’t there, you can start again without your time and money taking a hit. To identify your market, start broad and general with gender, age, and location before getting detailed. Validate your assumptions by conducting research via focus groups, interviews, and surveys to test the waters. Don’t forget to do your homework on the competition as well. You can get an idea of what you are up against, as well as take notes on their target market and methods of success. Start Saving Now Financial security and commitment were two of the reasons many people shied away from starting their own business. Set yourself up for success and start saving now. Get serious about paying down your debt to build/improve your credit, avoid discretionary spending, and consider automating your savings. Find ways to fund your business. Many of the tips you see will suggest three routes: angel investors, crowdfunding, and venture capitalists (VC). Finding an angel investor is rare, crowdfunding isn’t effective for B2C services, and VC funding requires a long process that ends in most being rejected. Entrepreneur suggests alternative funding such as microloans, peer-to-peer lending, and CVC funding. Build an Online Presence Even if your entrepreneurial dream includes a brick-and-mortar store, an online business is the best place to start and touts several benefits. For one, starting an online business requires very little startup cost. Your website, blog, and/or social media become your storefront, and you can tweak and alter these at ease, oftentimes for free. An online business can be automated as well, enabling you to outsource or simplify tasks you aren’t familiar with or don’t enjoy doing. For example, you can utilize e-commerce tools such as dropshipping in which a supplier handles your inventory and shipping, meaning you don’t have to deal with merchandise directly. Dropshipping is one of many e-commerce tools available, putting you in a situation where you can focus your attention elsewhere. One such focus should be your website. As it was pointed out before, as a young entrepreneur just getting your feet wet and with limited income, an online presence is crucial to get your business noticed and off the ground. Build an eye-catching website that is easy to navigate and mobile-friendly.   Stay active and engage customers on social media.   And encourage customers to leave reviews. Starting your own business can be scary. However, if it scares you, it might be worth doing. Start mapping out your dream, set goals, and take that step forward! Getting the Right Outfit for a Friends Wedding on a Budget

Getting the Right Outfit for a Friends Wedding on a Budget Everybody loves a wedding. They are a great chance to get together with friends, see a couple cement their love, and, if that stuff is all a bit too schmaltzy for you, enjoy a great party! With wedding season right around the corner, it can sometimes seem like everyone you know is getting married, and while you want to be there to celebrate with them all, it can get a little heavy on the budget going to a wedding every weekend throughout the summer! The Cost of Being a Guest Of course, one of the biggest costs apart from travel and accommodation when you go to a wedding (if it isnt near you) is what you wear. No matter how formal or informal the event, it is still a special occasion and you want to look good. Also, you never know who you might meet there! When it comes to your outfit, you may want to wear old favourites for weddings of co-workers or distant cousins, but really want to find something special to wear when it is a good friend whose nuptials you are planning to go to. Luckily, there are some easy ways to save money and still look great, and like you have made an effort for your friends big day. Discounts! The easiest way to get a good deal on a nice dress, suit or other outfit for a friends wedding is naturally to look in sales, however because most weddings are in summer and sales where you can get really good bargains tend to fall at the ends of seasons, you may not find any hugely reduced, spectacular dresses or accessories in the stores in time. Instead, hunt online. You can use coupon sites like CoupoRando to find really good discounts for all kinds of popular fashion stores, so you may well be able to find the perfect party dress at a discount without the disappointment of a mid-season trawl around the stores. Thrifting Going to the charity shop to find great outfits is all the rage these days, and there are even branches of chains like Oxfam dedicated to formal wear and designer labels. Dont expect to find a red carpet style Versace gown for 50p â€" the days of those kinds of finds are gone now that shoppers are more savvy â€" but you may well get an outfit you will love for much less than it would cost new, and for formal wear, many things tend to last longer without looking worn out as the previous owners may only have worn them a couple of times. While there is loads of advice for brides on a budget, not many consider the cost of attending a wedding for their guests. Look for online discounts or raid charity shops to try and find a great outfit that will help you look the part and enjoy the day without breaking the bank (especially if you have another wedding to go to next weekend!).

Flight Attendant Resume Writing

Flight Attendant Resume WritingThe flight attendant resume is a crucial component in your effort to get hired as a flight attendant. The number one question most people ask is what to include in it. But first things first, get that resume written. Here are some tips to get you started on your flight attendant resume writing. If you have a good idea about what type of person you want to be on a flight, then the structure of your flight attendant resume should reflect that. The best way to do this is to identify three key elements that should make up your flight attendant resume. Each key element should be well stated and clearly defined. Once you know what each element is, you can write a well-structured flight attendant resume with a more concise description of your skills. The first key element to your flight attendant resume is to have your qualifications stated. Your job interview will have to be set up on this topic. Make sure you have all the correct details about your experience, skills, certifications, and education up front. Explain your training from an accredited institution and describe any awards or certificates you have earned that will help to make you an even better flight attendant. The second key element to include is your skills. The skills you have listed should be those that are required for a flight attendant position. In addition to the listed skills, make sure you list any additional skills that are necessary for your position. If you have specific certifications or training that must be received, list them here as well. After your skills, list your certifications. Also include any additional training or certifications that are not listed on your resume. If you have any other special training or certifications, list them here as well. Remember, these are not a substitute for your skills. They are a means to give potential employers an idea of your qualifications and training. The third and final key element to include is your title. Your title should be short and concise. Again, this is an area where you may have to explain what it is that is needed on a flight attendant resume. Don't include a long title; do include enough information to let them know what they need to know. The final key element to include is your company. You must state the name of the company where you intend to work. While you don't want to give too much information about your company, it should include an email address, phone number, or physical address. If you have any additional information that will make you a valuable employee, then include it here.Following these few guidelines should help you start your flight attendant resume writing on the right foot. These are the main components to include in your flight attendant resume.

Salary Negotiate Or Not

Salary Negotiate Or Not Salary: Negotiate Or Not? Salary Do you accept the first salary offered or do you negotiate? In my 9 to 5 years, working for small firms, nonprofits, and international corporations, I always accepted the first salary I was offered. I didn’t try to negotiate. Not even once. This was a big mistake on my part. I most assuredly left money on the table. But, I’m not alone. It turns out 73% of employers say they are willing to negotiate but 55% of candidates don’t even ask according to research done by CareerBuilder. There are several reasons why candidates don’t try to negotiate a higher starting salary. 53% don’t feel comfortable asking for more money 48% are afraid the employer will rescind the offer 38% don’t want to appear greedy Somewhat surprisingly, the number of men who said they attempt to negotiate is not significantly higher than the percentage of women, 48% vs. 42%. In my experience as a recruiter, I rarely say employers dramatically raise their opening offer. For example, if the salary range for a position is $125K to $150K it’s unlikely they will increase their offer to $200K. Typically, salaries at the higher range will be offered to candidates with all or almost all, of the company’s requirements. Candidates with fewer years of experience or less education or background in another industry will be offered less. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to negotiate. If an employer cannot meet your target salary, you may be able to negotiate additional perks like vacation time, flexible work schedule, tuition reimbursement, a better title, etc. Whatever would be most beneficial to you. I never tried to negotiate a higher salary because I was afraid of losing the job before I had it. Based on CareerBuilder’s survey, it seems my fear was unfounded. I probably left money on the table. Whether or not you negotiate salary during the job offer process is a personal decision. Deciding on a number that works for you before the offer comes will make it easier. Knowing what will make you happy in lieu of a higher salary makes it easier still. Think you can dodge the salary question during the interview process? Here’s why you can’t.

Social Media Professional - CareerAlley

Social Media Professional - CareerAlley We may receive compensation when you click on links to products from our partners. You probably already use social media sites in your day-to-day life. There really arent too many people left that dont have a social media profile and use social media as a resource, whether thats in their personal life or in their business life. However, social media isnt just for staying in touch with friends that live out of state or promoting a product or service that youre trying to sell to customers. social media can actually be a whole business in its own right if you know how to make it profitable. If you like using sites like Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter and are willing to put in the work and time, you may be able to make some real money doing something you like. Build Your Brand Before you can start to make money from your blog, you need to build your brand. It doesnt matter if youre giving away free content about cooking, baseball or womens shoes. The principles are all pretty much the same, though your client base and target audience will certainly be different. You need to treat your blog or website like a brick and mortar business not some fly-by-night operation that you work on when you have a few spare minutes. While you may have to do something to support yourself until it takes off, you need to treat your business like one that you expect to work. Create Your Blog Once you know what type of content youre going to work with and how you want it to look, you need to create a blog that you can drive traffic to through social media. Sites like WordPress and other free blog generators are great for starting your first blog since they take care of most of the technical stuff for you, allowing you to focus on creating excellent content and promoting it instead. After creating your blog, you need to develop a presence on social media sites like Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and Facebook. You can do that by creating a profile and finding people in your target audience that would be interested in your blog. You can also take out advertisements on websites like Facebook to market your blog to the right audience. Charging for Links Once you have a bit of a following on your blog built up through social media, you can get people that work in SEO or other bloggers to contribute guest posts to your site, which you can actually charge for if the content contains links to a product or service. Most people are willing to pay for this service if your blog is generating a good deal of traffic since it helps them build a base for their own business. Selling a Product By including links to products in your content and using sites like Twitter to let people know about a new product that you are selling, you can make a considerable amount of money if you have a built-up audience. You might be surprised at how many people would be willing to take a look at a product that youre selling if they like the free content that you provide them. You dont have to sell a product on your own, though. In fact, most bloggers that are successful dont actually have a product to sell, but are paid by people who do to help them sell their product via a successful blog. If you go this route, you wont actually be selling the product, only providing a link. If youre running a blog about cooking, a company that sells cooking utensils might pay you to help them promote a new product on your blog. AdSense You can also make money through a blog by using AdSense. AdSense is a program that pays bloggers to place small ads on their page. AdSense works to make money for you based on how many people look at your blog. While the amount of money you get might not be much of anything for one page visit, it can add up to real money if you start getting thousands and thousands of page views each day, which should be your ultimate goal. Advertisements If your blog is successful, you may be able to switch from a service like AdSense to simply selling advertisements to businesses on your own. Some companies will pay hundreds of dollars to put a banner ad on your blog, even for a short period of time. Of course, youll need to get a lot of people to your blog in order to get advertisers to pay you good money. Using social media sites to promote your blog can help you do exactly that.
